A look back at the Play Big tour

Chances are you’re probably well aware by now that we’re celebrating 50 years of playing big with a host of events running throughout the year. April saw the launch of our Play Big tour, which has been a roaring success and seen families enjoy quality time together. Here, we take a closer look at these exciting events and tell all about the World’s Biggest Play Date.

Playing big with Little Tikes’ iconic toys
As we celebrate a milestone year, we’re keen to put every emphasis on ‘playing big’ to create fun memories that include the whole family. And with our main celebratory event, we weren’t going to do it by halves. We invited children and adults from all over the UK to join us on one of our play dates, which were held in shopping centres and offered up the opportunity for hours of fun.

For the touring play dates, we installed many of the Little Tikes classic toys that have been loved for generations, including the classic Cozy Coupe®, Turtle Sandbox and My First Slide, while the big surprise of the day was that we’d had some of our favourites transformed into giant versions. That meant the adults could get in on all the fun too!

Both little tikes and big tikes had lots of fun riding larger-than-life rockers and the giant Cozy Coupe®.

We enjoyed a fantastic turn out at every date. The 12m x 12m pop-up play space, which visited five shopping centres in total, was dreamed up to help provide busy parents the chance to take some time out and play together with their children.

Enjoying the World’s Biggest Play Date
Our play date sessions toured the country throughout April and culminated in a huge event at London’s South Bank on May 18th. The World’s Biggest Play Date saw a series of play dates happening across the globe as we continued in our mission to help families #PlayBig. From California to Greece, 11 countries in total played big in our creative play spaces.
